About Elizabeth Sawatzky

Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Elizabeth grew up in rural Nova Scotia and currently resides in Toronto. Also an avid photographer, she draws most of her inspiration for paintings from her photographs. With a degree in Linguistics, Elizabeth also works as an ESL instructor to fund the many trips to places like Southeast Asia, China and Europe. She has lived in Germany and Vietnam, and spent extended time in Cuba and Mexico.

Starting at a very young age, Elizabeth has always been artistically inclined, and spent years developing her artistic talent. Mostly self taught, her formal training includes Central Tech's Adult Art Program and some painting and life drawing workshops at Ontario College of Art.
